Quality Assurance

UWIC offers postgraduate research degree qualifications under the auspices of the University of Wales and which comply with the Framework for Higher Education Qualifications in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Degrees offered: MPhil, PhD, DBMS, DTourism, D Comp Sci, EdD, DBA

QAA Inspection

UWIC was inspected by the higher education Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) in the summer of 2002. The report can be found on the QAA’s website.

QAA concluded that it had overall confidence in UWIC with regard to its effectiveness in discharging its academic obligations and as a qualification awarding body.

UWIC’s commitment to quality is manifest in the subject reviews conducted by the Higher Education Funding Council for Wales. All of the reviews have resulted in ratings of satisfactory or better, and the following subject areas were rated ‘excellent’, Biomedical Sciences, Ceramics, Fine Art, Interior Architecture, Environmental Health, Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, Podiatry, Applied Human Nutrition (Dietetics).
