New Projects
This section profiles new projects undertaken by UWIC schools. In some instances, there is a 'call to action' in response to a specific requriement of a project.
Cardiff School of Management
UWIC is participating in H2-training, a two-year European funded project involving nine organisations. The aim is to develop training materials targeted at those involved in the growing field of hydrogen technologies and renewable energies. Funded through the Leonardo da Vinci programme, the €266,000 project completes in October 08.
Under the direction of the Fundacion San Valero - Spain, the partners will deliver a programme for trainers charged with introducing the fundamentals of installation and service of fuel cells to technical and professional staff.
The training is being developed for varying levels of entry, types of teaching (apprenticeship or further education), and modes (classroom or distance learning).
Following the pilot study, a trial course will be introduced at EXPO Zaragoza, from 14th June until 14th September 2008. The course will be translated into four languages and disseminated internationally.
