Summary
A first for UWIC, the Poster Day event aims to encourage research students and staff to focus on their existing strengths and research interests, which can be applied to research into ageing.
The event will demonstrate the level of expertise and wide ranging aspects of research being undertaken across UWIC's schools and help to stimulate collaborative working between research groups and individuals in this area.
Over 25 posters will be presented by various members of academic staff and researchers.
Expected to attend are Professor Judith Phillips and Dr Sue Lambert, co-directors of the Older People & Ageing Research & Development Network (OPAN Cymru), and Ruth Marks, Minister for Older People in Wales.
OPAN aims to improve the lives of older people through the integration of research, policy, and practice in Wales.
