Developing Students
Enhancing the careers of our students and providing the ideal learning environment where they can enrich their knowledge and develop new skills are key elements of the University’s forward looking strategy.
Research students on full time or part time study are encouraged to attend workshops to improve their transferable skills. Skills Week is an annual programme of events scheduled to run in the first week of April. Workshops cover topics such as Time Management, Networking, Communication Skills, etc., as well as how to prepare for the Viva.
A research student forum convened a question and answer session, providing participants with an opportunity to question a panel of senior academics and to debate important issues.
Students are also encouraged to sign up to training workshops organised by Human Resources.
