PDR

Research Study

PDR has an international reputation for excellence in consultancy, research and knowledge transfer relating to all aspects of product design and development.

PDR was established in 1994 to conduct collaborative product development, research and knowledge transfer activities with industry. The scope of the research ranges from design and innovation management to rapid prototyping and manufacturing. PDR is one of the best equipped product development centres in the UK with 3D CAD, 3D scanning, rapid prototyping, rapid casting and batch manufacturing housed in a purpose-built facility. Where appropriate these research activities incorporate research degrees carried out by research students and research assistants.
